Hello, welcome to Infinite Wonder Blog!
Infinite Wonder is a travel and lifestyle blog created to share our personal stories and insights from our journeys around the world.
Who are we?
We are Scott and Amiko Kelly, also known as the American couple that spent the longest distance apart separated by Earth’s atmosphere during a single space mission.
Scott Kelly is a former military fighter pilot and test pilot, an engineer, a retired astronaut, and a retired U.S. Navy captain. A veteran of four space flights, Kelly commanded the International Space Station (ISS) on three expeditions and was a member of the yearlong mission to the ISS. In October 2015, he set the record for the total accumulated number of days spent in space, the single longest space mission by an American astronaut.
Amiko Kelly is a former Public Affairs Officer who launched her career at NASA in 1998. As an Internet/Social Media Manager at the NASA Johnson Space Center, she employed 20 years’ experience in online community, web content development and related technologies to help NASA navigate in today’s digital world. She encouraged the adoption of social media that brought the world its first tweet from space. Amiko also served as a spokesperson for the Agency and commentator on NASA Television, providing live commentary from inside Mission Control during Space Shuttle and International Space Station missions.
During NASA’s unprecedented yearlong space mission, we partnered to give the world an inside look of life in space via social media, engaging with people across the globe. Now, with both pairs of feet back on Earth, we are traveling around the world for an up-close look at the places Scott flew 250 miles above during his time in space to get a better understanding of our planet and its seven billion occupants.
